At BEVS, we are excited to expand our emergency and veterinary care to exotic animals.

Just like dogs and cats, exotic pets need veterinary care, too, and should be seen for routine wellness exams, as well as when they are sick or injured. We are proud to provide you with the training, experience, expertise, and technology to meet the unique needs of your special pet.

Designed with your unique species in mind, peak care for exotic pets requires experienced veterinary personnel, specialized diagnostic and treatment protocols, as well as the right equipment.

Our Exotics Department, led by Dr. Jordan Adair, provides comprehensive wellness and preventative care, nutrition, advanced diagnostics, medical diagnosis and management, and orthopedic and soft tissue surgery for:

• Small exotic mammals including rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hedgehogs, and all pocket pets
• All non-venomous reptiles
• Most avian species including parrots, raptors, poultry, and waterfowl
• Wildlife (with valid wildlife rehabilitator permit)

Our Exotics Department does not treat venomous snakes, most medium to large primates, adult ratites (Ostriches, Emus, Rheas), or any illegally owned animals.

BEVS also offers our exotic patients access to specialized housing, high-quality digital X-ray, ultrasound, CT, endoscopy, and in-house laboratory and pharmacy.

Exotic Care at BEVS is available Monday-Thursday 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Same-day appointments are available. If you have an emergency with your exotic pet, please call us before coming into the emergency department.
