Emergency and Critical Care Technician
Immediate need in our emergency department for full and part time positions for week day evenings, weekends and holidays. Relocation assistance included. BEVS offers 24/7 emergency and critical care, surgery, internal medicine, oncology, and physical rehabilitation services.
Emergency Technicians at BEVS are responsible for triaging, stabilizing, and treating patients presented to the ER for conditions ranging from vomiting/diarrhea and lethargy to vehicular trauma and foreign body ingestion. Technicians in the emergency department are also responsible for carrying out treatments on hospitalized patients.
We are looking for qualified candidates who want to work in a fast-paced high demand environment alongside other highly skilled technicians, boarded specialists and emergency doctors. Applicants must be hardworking, self-motivated, enthusiastic Veterinary Technicians, with special interest in Emergency and Critical care.
Applicants would have a minimum of one year of technician experience and be confident with nursing skills. Prior emergency and critical care experience and CVT (or eligible) preferred; pursuit of CVT and/or VTS-ECC encouraged and financially supported for full time employees.

ICU Technician
This position provides technical assistance and will act as the patient care technician for the department, providing high-quality customer service and a calm and gentle approach to handling patients in emotionally charged and challenging situations. Follow prescribed patient treatments to include various technical procedures; intravenous catheter placement for both short and long-term vein access, venipuncture, IV injections, wound management, drug administration (IV, Oral, Subcutaneous), bandage care, blood transfusion administration, emergency intervention, ECG monitoring, ventilator set up and monitoring and various other routine diagnostic testing. Ability to understand hospital estimates and to present them in a clear manner to clients. Provides quick and accurate information regarding each patient and is proficient in entering data into electronic medical record.
Our team works a 3 day a week rotation. Qualified candidates must have at least three years’ experience in an Emergency or Critical Care setting or 5 years full-time experience in a general practice.
Special working conditions include ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work beyond scheduled work hours when needed. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and be an active participant in problem-solving. Ability to work effectively with computers and electronics. Ability to work independently and practice good judgment to ensure high-quality care for all patients and request assistance when needed.

Surgery Technician
If surgery is your passion, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your skill set and grow with us!
As an experienced surgical technician, you will be responsible for: assisting with surgical consultations and evaluations; preparing and maintaining the surgical suite; cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining instruments and equipment; assisting in surgery; developing anesthetic protocols; administering anesthesia; monitoring anesthetized patients; performing laboratory procedures; taking radiographs and conducting CT scans; supporting and educating clients; dispensing medications; maintaining records; and performing daily treatments of hospitalized patients.
Ideal required qualifications include Certified Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a general practice or specialty setting. Client Care Coordinator – Full-time and Part-time
The Client Care Coordinator drives the flow of clients and pets through our busy hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary medical team, ensures good communication with staff and clients, and coordinates the care of clients and pets in a happy, welcoming, friendly and efficient manner.
We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, outgoing, and professional individual to join our growing hospital. The position involves answering incoming telephone calls, scheduling appointments for multiple specialists, checking clients and patients into the hospital and assisting them during checkout.
Qualifications

Internships
Internships are available for graduates of veterinary institutions. This program will involve 3 week duration rotations through internal medicine, surgery, and emergency. Other specialties may be added. Throughout the program, the intern will be mentored daily by an attending clinician. In addition, the program director will review overall progress. Meetings include daily rounds on days worked, biweekly didactic rounds, monthly journal rounds, and quarterly M&M rounds.

Externships
We offer 2-4 week externships to fourth year veterinary students. Externships are offered year round (with the exception of June). Externs work for an average of 40 hours/week and have the opportunity to work alongside specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Physical Therapy as well as our experiences team of ER doctors. Our high case load means that our externs are likely to see a variety of medical and surgical conditions. Externship students are expected to participate in both inpatient and outpatient care including patient rounds, discussion of appropriate diagnostic and therapeutics modalities and selected hands on procedures.
