Technician Opening

We have a part-time position for an experienced veterinary technician.  Learn new skills and grow your knowledge while working with veterinary doctors, including specialists who value the benefits of your experience and credentials to our practice.  Get rewarded for your strong work ethic and your commitment to give exceptional client and patient care.  Our 24/7 hospital schedule requires availability during nights, weekends, and holidays. Internships

This program will involve 3 week duration rotations through internal medicine, surgery, emergency and spay/neuter clinic one day per month. Other specialties may be added. Throughout the program, the intern will be mentored daily by an attending clinician. In addition, the program director will review overall progress. Meetings include daily rounds on days worked, biweekly didactic rounds, monthly journal rounds, quarterly CE seminars for RDVMS and quarterly M&M rounds.

Externships

BEVS offers externship opportunities to senior students of veterinary institutions.  Externships are available throughout the year from two to four weeks but longer periods can be requested.  We must receive a letter from your academic institution that you are in good academic standing and have approval for the externship. 

We provide students with a complete orientation to our facility covering policies, procedures, standards, and practices.   Students will participate in many aspects of patient care of both hospitalized and outpatients during their daily schedule. 

We do not provide accommodations, liability coverage or compensation to students for their learning activities during their externship.  Students must have current tetanus booster, rabies vaccination, and provide proof of active health insurance coverage during your proposed training dates.
