Emergency Technician Assistants

The responsibilities of a technician assistant include but are not limited to; walking patients, cleaning cages, restocking medical supplies, laundry, and general hospital cleaning. More patient oriented responsibilities may be added. We are hiring assistants for the following emergency shifts; Saturday 8am-3pm, 3pm-10pm and Sunday 8am-3pm.

Emergency Veterinary Technicians
We are seeking technicians to join our emergency/critical care team. Full and part time positions are available.
Emergency Technicians at BEVS carry out all inpatient treatments, regardless of specialty service. Departments include emergency/critical care, surgery, oncology and internal medicine. Technicians must be able to prioritize and efficiently manage multiple assignments in a high demand setting.
Interested in only part time? No problem! Working at BEVS part time is a great way to pick up a few extra hours and get experience with emergency medicine! The job is rewarding and you get to work alongside a very talented and dedicated group of doctors and technicians.

Internships are available for graduates of veterinary institutions. This program will involve 3 week duration rotations through internal medicine, surgery, emergency and spay/neuter clinic one day per month. Other specialties may be added. Throughout the program, the intern will be mentored daily by an attending clinician. In addition, the program director will review overall progress. Meetings include daily rounds on days worked, biweekly didactic rounds, monthly journal rounds, and quarterly M&M rounds.

BEVS offers externship opportunities to senior students of veterinary institutions. Externships are available throughout the year from two to four weeks but longer periods can be requested. We must receive a letter from your academic institution that you are in good academic standing and have approval for the externship.
We provide students with a complete orientation to our facility covering policies, procedures, standards and practices. Students will participate in many aspects of patient care of both hospitalized and outpatients during their daily schedule.
We do not provide accommodations, liability coverage or compensation to students for their learning activities during their externship. Students must have current tetanus booster, rabies vaccination and provide proof of active health insurance coverage during your proposed training dates.
